Business Excellence Awards

November 3, 2011 by

On October 17th Vital Waters attended the 2011 24th Annual Business Excellence Awards hosted by the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. Vital Waters was nominated for the Rising Business Star award and was selected as one of the three finalists in that category. The award ceremony celebrated outstanding achievement in business within the Kelowna region, acknowledging success across 5 categories – Rising Star, Small Business, Mid-Size Business, Large Business and Community Impact.

For Vital Waters to be selected as a finalist in the Rising Star category was a wonderful recognition of the dedication, commitment and hard work of the founders Joel Kutschera and Chris Collinson and of all staff over the 2 years Vital Waters has been in operation. Whilst we did not win on the night, the recognition of the success of Vital Waters by business peers in Kelowna was reward enough. We are proud to be involved in developing Vital Waters and look forward to contributing enormously to this community in coming years.

It was also gratifying to see the involvement Vital Waters has with other Business Excellence Award finalists. In the community category, Vital Waters proudly supports Big Brothers & Big Sisters and Kelowna Gospel Mission. Vital Waters also works with Barefoot Venus, winner of the mid-sized Business Award, by supplying our premium water to assist in the formulation of many of their wonderful products.

Congratulations to all finalists in all categories of the Business Excellence Awards from all staff at Vital Waters. We also send our special congratulations to the Award winners:

Business Person for 2011 – Barry Meckler, President and CEO of Interior Savings
Rising Star – Poppadoms Taste of India

Unprecedented Growth at Vital Waters!!

May 6, 2011 by

As we approach the summer season in 2011, it is wonderful to compare our water sales in the first 4 months of this year with the same periods in 2010.  What a difference!!!  We are witnessing a growth of the Vital Waters business by over 100%  each month – and that is in the winter period!!  We expect Spring, Summer and Fall of 2011 to generate bumper sales for Vital Waters.  We are not only excited by the growth of the business, but by the fact that more and more people are beginning to appreciate the outstanding taste and health qualities of our two alkaline waters – ph Plus and Himalayan Plus.  That means a lot to us as we have put an incredible amount of effort into perfecting our water production technologies to ensure that we are able to generate water that is as close to natural water as possible. This effort is also aimed at ensuring that our alkaline water is stable – a feature that few other alkaline waters can claim!  We now know that many more people in the Okanagan Valley are enjoying better health thanks to our water – and that is gratifying.    As our water business expands, we are also working hard at expanding the Vital brand, through the production of additional products.  More information on that plan to be announced very soon!

So, herald in the Spring season by filling up on Vital Waters Himalayan Plus – the healthiest water you can drink!

Community Involvement

January 3, 2011 by

We have had an amazing year at Vital Waters, with the support and encouragement of our customers our business enjoyed 37 % growth in 2010. This allowed us to provide over 30,000 liters of premium alkaline to various charities including Kelowna’s Gospel Mission, In From The Cold, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Victory Life Fellowship.
Our mission statement is “Living the changes we wish for the world. Producers of the finest waters and suppliers of a collection of water systems, products and services dedicated to providing solutions for the whole person.”
Supporting organizations like these charities is right in line with our personal and corporate goals of providing everyone including those in less fortunate circumstances with safe health drinking water.
Thank you Kelowna for your support without which we would not have been able accomplish both the phenominal growth in our first year of operation and enable us to help our community.

Leaping tall buildings

As you may have noticed, the blog has been a little… lacking of late. It wasn’t by design, it was mostly a combination of people being away, people being very busy, and things getting a little crazy crazy around here. I can’t say much, but we may have some big news to tell you very soon. In the meantime, we’re hitting the streets with a crack team of experts; our sales force has been revamped and reinvigorated so watch out!

We’re also playing around with some designs for our delivery van. In a fit of insanity I threw out some crack about superheroes on the front of the van and well… yeah.

Vital Waters, there when you need to smell some armpit

Today generated a new direction for the Vital Mission website. It’s a one page monster that will contain all the same useful information that the old site had but will be more visually stimulating. More updates are coming soon but I thought I would give the blog readers a sneak peek. Check it out!

What’s a DVR-MC?

January 23, 2010 by

So after many many hours painfully sifting through forums and mucking around with keyboardless live television recording, video decoding, encoding and re-encoding, I’ve decided that I should have spent more time in AV class and less time eating grilled cheese and watching hawaii five-o.  Also I posted our first video on YouTube. It’s a short news profile that ran on Shaw TV, here in Kelowna.

Enjoy!

Vital Mission: New Logo Design!

January 22, 2010 by

Vital Mission Logo

Vital Mission:

Vital Mission is a charity put together by the team here at Vital Waters. Our goal is both simple and complex; it is to eliminate thirst wherever it occurs. Visit site.

Logo Development:

When putting the logo together it was important that we have some words that reflected what would soon become our logo. Here is a short list that summarizes that:

  • people, communities, global, provide, vital, help, vision, food and drink, distribute, target and aim, friendly, stuggle, obstacle, etc.

Here are the design specs so you can fully understand what this logo means to us and to those we help:

  • Typography: The inclusion of .org seemed important in order for the mission to be represented as an organization. Also, it promotes the informative webpage.
  • Shape: What we wanted to include was the shape of what we are distributing to communities: water and (soon) food. Basically, it came down to finding a shape that combined water and leaves.
  • Colour: The blue and green represent food and drink as well as earth itself. The tone of the colours offer a sense of comfort and friendliness.
  • Representation: Growth and worldwide awareness is key. The world in the water drop tells our story and that story is our long term plan to eliminate thirst across the planet and follow that with food distribution. The plan begins with water and moving it across the planet to those who need it most. As that grows, so does our ability to start getting food out. Where all points meet, there is a shining light that shoots out through the white space – because when we work together and everybody is getting what they need, the mission is complete. Having that reminder in the logo is vital.
